Just one week after a Title IX lawsuit was filed against the University of Tennessee, former Vol offensive linemen Mack Crowder was arrested in Florida on Tuesday night. According to The Tennessean, Crowder is being charged with four counts of transmission of material harmful to minors and one count of violating Florida’s Computer Pornography and Child Exploitation Prevention Act.

According to reports, police said that the 23-year-old Crowder admitted to sending four photos of his genitals and soliciting whom he believed to be a 14-year-old girl for sex. However, the person he was communicating with online was in fact an undercover agent.

This is not the first time Crowder’s name has popped up in the headlines for an off-the-field incident. There was an alleged altercation between he and Tennessee head coach Butch Jones during a 2015 fall practice. Jones denied the rumors and the story quickly went away.

In his five seasons at Tennessee, Crowder appeared in 32 games and started 15 of them at guard and center. His notable achievements include winning the team’s Harvey Robinson Award for Most Surprising Offensive Player in 2013, as well as back-to-back selections on the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2014 and 2015.

Crowder posted his $50,000 bond Tuesday night. Stay tuned to TNJN.com for any further updates.
