Film Score and the Scruffy City Film & Music Festival
This weekend celebrates film and music at the Scruffy City Film and Music Festival. The festival caters to a variety of categories in film, music videos, animated shorts, dance and more. For each feature film, there will be a Q&A panel and a roundtable discussion with the musicians, filmmakers, music supervisors and composers.

Road to Imagine: Leah Culver at The Concourse
Before traveling to her main destination at the Imagine Music Festival (IMF) in Atlanta, Georgia, Leah Culver will headline at The Concourse. IMF is the electronic dance music festival featuring many of the world’s top electronic musicians, DJs and bands. The Concourse concert features a little taste of what is to come in September for the main event. In March, Culver released music as a feature with Marshmello called “Fly” that debuted on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic one chart at No. 7. Culver will perform at 12:30 a.m., but other performances begin earlier outside at the patio and inside the venue.

“The Sandlot” at the Tennessee Theatre
This weekend continues the 20th annual Summer Movie Magic at the Tennessee Theatre. This summer filled locals with nostalgia at the historic theater’s showings of classic films. “The Sandlot,” set in the summer of 1962, follows a new boy, Scotty Smalls, as he navigates his way with the local sandlot baseball team. This cult film favorite is appropriate for most ages (PG rating).
