The Vols improved to 3-3 on Saturday by taking down Chattanooga on homecoming night 45-10.

After struggling mightily on the offensive side of the ball against Florida last week, Tennessee seemed to find its rhythm through the air. Justin Worley threw for 198 yards going 19-24 with three touchdowns and no interceptions. He also ran in two scores, proving that he really is an improved player compared to last year and a leader for this young Tennessee squad.

Marlin Lane was out nursing an injury and Butch Jones decided to give Jalen Hurd only two carries, putting the workload on Derrell Scott, who rushed 9 times for 42 yards, and Maryland transfer Justus Pickett, who rushed 10 times for 27 yards. Devrin Young also had a couple of carries, but was knocked out of the game after he broke a couple of ribs while be tackled.

Jason Croom had a fairly big day, catching six balls for 76 yards including a 30-yard strike, where he was able to use his size to power through defenders and gain yards after contact. Marquez North caught four balls for 26 yards including a touchdown before he was forced out of the game with a knee injury. In the postgame conference, Coach Jones said that he could have come back into the game, but they wanted to rest him for next weeks game at Ole Miss. Johnathon Johnson had a big day, catching three passes for 46 yards with two touchdowns.

A.J. Johnson had another huge game today, registering nine total tackles and seemed to be everywhere on the field. Jalen Reeves-Maybin also continued his big year by accounting for five total tackles. Both have been sure tacklers so far this season.

The Vols travel to Oxford next week where they will take on a very tough Ole Miss team in primetime at 7 p.m.
