The International House hosted one of its three World Showcase programs this week, ending with Culture Night. The program turned its focus to Saudi Arabia, providing Saudia Arabian food and coffee, teaching facts about the country and hosting a trivia game.
UT's College of Music held its fall choral concert Tuesday. All choirs worked together to give performances that ranged from "Here's to Old Tennessee" to a tribute piece called "Immortal Bach."
UT's play adaptation of John Steinbeck's "Of Mice and Men" saw a successful opening weekend and extra shows had to be added due to popular demand. Now, the play will run until Oct. 18.
Jessica Payne, a relatively new artist in the Knoxville scene, has recently been selected for her art to be hosted at Tomato Head for the fourth time. Her work will be displayed there until Oct. 5. Her art is known for its many bright colors, images of nature, along with splashes of glitter.

The McClung Museum of Natural History and Culture welcomed Tibetan Buddhist monks to paint a sand mandala in the Native Peoples of Tennessee gallery. The event ran from Sept. 22 to Sept. 25 and was part of the Buddhist Art of the Himalayas exhibit.
