UT to West TN helps students go home for the holidays

UT to West TN is a program offered by the Dean of Students Office to provide reliable transportation home for UT students during the holiday breaks.

The holiday season is rapidly approaching the University of Tennessee. This is a very exciting time for students looking forward to time off from classes. However, the holiday breaks can also be distressing for students trying to find transportation home.

Out of over 40 UT students surveyed, 12% were not sure how they would get home for Thanksgiving break.

It is important that all students have the opportunity to go home and see their families. Therefore, the Dean of Students Office is offering a solution for students unsure of how they will travel home this holiday season.

UT to West TN is a program that will provide affordable, reliable transportation to students who do not have access to transportation home.

The program is offered for the Thanksgiving, Winter and Spring holiday breaks this year. The busses will drop off and pick up passengers in Nashville, Jackson and Memphis. The addresses for each drop-off and pick up location are on the Dean of Student’s website.

The cost of transportation is an affordable $55 round trip. This is a reliable opportunity for students who may not be able to afford a flight home.

Reserve a seat home

Seats for the Thanksgiving Break trip are now open to reserve. The reservation is nonrefundable. The Thanksgiving bus will depart on Nov. 27 at 8 a.m. EST and return Dec. 1 at 1:30 p.m. CST. If a student is interested in reserving a seat, act quickly! There are a limited number of seats offered for each trip.

Seat reservations for future breaks will open at a later date.
