Vol basketball lands five-star recruit Jaden Springer
Jaden Springer, a University of Tennessee basketball 2020 recruit, committed to Tennessee on Wednesday.
The Tennessee Volunteer basketball team has landed Jaden Springer, No. 16 overall in his class and the No. 4 shooting guard in 2020 class in the state of Florida.
“Tennessee has been on me the longest and I know that I’m a priority for them, which is attractive,” Springer said in an interview with 247sports last month. “I feel like it would be a great situation for me to come right in and make a big impact.”
Springer had offers from powerhouses like Kentucky and North Carolina but decided to commit to Tennessee on Wednesday.
The 6-foot-5, 210 pounds Springer is a five-star recruit from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fl.
“As soon as I got there it was like a family atmosphere,” Springer said in an interview, “all the players get along, the fans love their teams and support them to the fullest. It’s a good place to be.”
Jaden Springer told me his thoughts on Rick Barnes at Tennessee. 🏀
“Ever since I met coach Barnes and his players, I could see how they trusted him and believed in him. I thought I could do the same. “ @Vol_Hoops @jadenspringer11 @WhosNextHS

The Vol men’s basketball team had a successful 2018-2019 season, and the Tennessee program was the top team in the country for a while.
The UT program is headed in the right direction, and it seems the addition of Springer can only help the Vols on their way.
