The Sexual Empowerment and Awareness at Tennessee (SEAT) hosted its own sexy hip-hop class on Saturday, April 11 as a part of the 3rd annual Sex Week. Local dancer and UT student, Chanel Williams, instructed the class.
At 7 p.m. on April 10, the Sexual Empowerment and Awareness at Tennessee (SEAT) administration hosted a poetry slam as the finale for Sex Week 2015. They invited Lane Shuler and Jonathan "Courageous" Clark, both of them performed at last year's poetry slam, to come again this year to deliver some verses.
Nora Berenstain, an assistant professor of philosophy, gave a lecture entitled, “Sex and the Media." The lecture focused on who provides sexual images in the media and why the misrepresentation of sexuality is more magnifying in the media between sexism, racism and hetero-sexism.
Sexuality and literature joined forces for Sex Week at the “Textual Healing” panel discussion on Tuesday evening. Associate Professors of English Lisi Schoenbach, Katy Chiles, Ben Lee and Urmila Seshagiri hosted the panel and brought with them the knowledge of their respective fields of study.
The Holston Middle School Show Choir put on a performance of "Shrek the Musical Jr." from March 26-28.
