The Sexual Empowerment and Awareness at Tennessee (SEAT) hosted its own sexy hip-hop class on Saturday, April 11 as a part of the 3rd annual Sex Week. Local dancer and UT student, Chanel Williams, instructed the class.

Williams is a senior this year at the University and has been dancing since she was 4-years-old. Her main goal was to provide upbeat choreography while allowing guests to shake off their nerves and become comfortable in their own skin. No experience was needed for the dance session; the only requirement was to have fun.

Williams taught about two minutes of choreography to Janelle Monáe’s song “Yoga.”

She hopes that those who attended the dance session had a blast participating while also learning some new moves.

“We are not here to judge you,” Williams said. “Be comfortable and have fun.”

The participants caught on to the choreography quickly and put their own style in the moves. The sexy hip-hop class allowed all the dancers to let loose and have fun channeling their sexy side.
