Tennessee couldn’t snap its three-game losing streak in Fayetteville Sunday.

Despite their win against the Razorbacks in the two team’s matchup earlier in the season, Tennessee (15-12, 5-9 SEC) lost to Arkansas (6-20, 4-10 SEC) in three quick sets Sunday afternoon. Both teams started the first two sets off strong, really giving each other a run for its money, but the Razorbacks were able to end strong.

The first set went back-and-forth. Both teams fought hard to spike and kill, leaving the opening set really close. However, Arkansas eventually won, 25-23.

Tennessee continued to fight in the second set. Much like the first set, both teams were going back and forth. On some occasions, the Vols led the set, but nonetheless could not hold out. The Razorbacks fought on to win, 25-22, putting them ahead 2-0.

The third set was a different story. Tennessee fell short early in the match, struggling to gain a lead. Arkansas kept a five point-spread throughout most of the set, which led them to a 25-20 win over the Vols, ending the match.

Freshman Tessa Grubbs had 10 kills, leading for the team. This is her 17th time this season leading in kills. Senior Raina Hembry finished second in kills with nine.

The Vols will be facing off against Texas A&M home on Wednesday, Nov. 16th at 6 p.m. ET. It will be their second matchup this season against the Aggies.
