TNJN Kitchen: Don’t stress for finals chocolate brownies
Don’t stress for finals. Instead, make these stress-free brownies with dark chocolate to help give your brain that extra boost it needs.
With finals right around the corner, stress eating will be at an all-time high. Try this brownie recipe for your chocolate fix along with an energy boost! Add nuts and dark chocolate for a healthier snack with added benefits.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 C dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 C chopped almonds
- 10 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/4 C sugar
- 3/4 C cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 C all purpose flour
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 325 degrees
- Grease an 8 in. square baking pan
- Melt butter in a mixing bowl
- Add cocoa, sugar and salt to the melted butter and stir until smooth
- Stir in vanilla and eggs
- Mix until smooth
- Gradually add flour and mix until smooth
- Add in nuts and dark chocolate chips
- Bake 20-25 minutes
- Cool completely before serving
