Two male suspects have been identified in a rape case involving two 19-year-old women. The two males are students at the University of Tennessee and football players.

A.J. Johnson and Michael Williams have been suspended from all team related activities, said in a tweet sent by UT’s Football account.

The incident took place at the Woodlands Apartment Complex off Cherokee Woods Way, Sunday at 3 a.m. One of the two women told police she was raped by two men while the other said she had been sexually assaulted.

One of the females is a student at the University of Florida and was visiting a friend. The other female was a student at UT.

Both women were taken to UT Medical Center and have not pressed charges.

At his weekly press conference, Butch Jones confirmed the two students were football players, but had no comment as to their identities.

Jones said they will act “in a decisive manner” once more information is gathered and the investigation is complete.
