Selena Gomez rocks Nashville
Selena Gomez made her Nashville debut at the Bridgestone Arena Friday Oct. 25. The show was part of
the North American half of her Stars Dance Tour and began at 7 p.m.
The show kicked off with performances from YouTube star Christina Grimmie and X-Factor boy band Emblem3.
The 21-year-old pop star performed many songs from her most recent album “Stars Dance”, including her radio hits: “Come & Get It” and “Slow Down”. Gomez also covered Katy Perry’s hit single “Roar” and Iggy Azalea’s “Work”.
Christina Brooks, 19, drove three hours to see the show and said, “It was so worth the trip!”
After performing her rendition of Priscella Ahn’s “Dream”, Gomez thanked her fans for “trusting her” and told them, “The sexiest thing I know is class”. Perhaps, this is in reference to the recent performances from her fellow former Disney star, Miley Cyrus.
When asked about her thoughts on the show, Sarah Bass, 16, said “It was amazing! I will definitely get tickets for her next tour!”
The Stars Dance Tour opened in Vancouver, Canada on Aug. 13 and is set to end in Mississippi on Nov. 26. The tour included performances in North America, Europe and Dubai. It is Gomez’s first solo world tour.
