On Monday Feb. 2, McClung Museum hosted a printmaking artist panel for the “Drawn from the McClung Museum” exhibit. This exhibit is where print makers chose museum artifacts to inspire their art and will be up until May 24.
On Saturday, Jan. 31 Knoxville hosted Chocolatefest at the Knoxville Expo Center. The event consisted of local chocolate and bakery vendors lining up in rows and providing samples to guests. The fest had a silent auction with all proceeds donated towards the Ronald McDonald House.
The International House hosted an Indian cooking demonstration as part of its India World Showcase Tuesday night.
On Monday, Feb. 2 the International House hosted an Indian Coffeehouse, the first installment of a three day Indian World Showcase. Speakers presented on different aspects of Indian Culture including ancient Hindu scripture, henna tattoos and masala chai tea.
On Jan. 30 through Feb. 1, Sexual Empowerment and Awareness (SEAT) sponsored showings of "Extremities" by William Mastrosimone. The play was performed at the Clarence Brown Lab Theatre. Each performance was followed by a discussion panel to address sexual assault in today’s society.

On Tuesday, Jan. 13, the 2015 Bonnaroo lineup was announced during a three hour online event. Fans could call a toll free number, receive a band name, then post that name on social media. Students also took to social media to tweet their reactions about the lineup.
With the holiday season in full swing, Knoxville natives have a plethora of activities to look forward to this December.
Seven different teams met on Nov. 22 at the Knoxville Convention Center to build holiday themed sculptures using only cans, non-perishables and a few thin pieces of plywood and Plexiglas to help support their structures. The canned foods are then donated to charity.
