Maui Ahuna makes his Vols debut in win over Charleston Southern.
No. 3 Tennessee won its seventh-straight game in the first match of a two-game mid-week series against Charleston Southern 6-1 with 11 hits and no errors.
The highly praised and decorated Kansas transfer, Maui Ahuna, made his long-awaited debut. Ahuna was ineligible for the season’s first eight games but was granted eligibility on Feb. 27.
Ahuna had a rocky start in his first game on Tocky Top, going 1-4. Ahuna came close to hitting his first long bomb as a Vol in the first inning but flew out on the warning track. He slashed his first hit in the bottom of the sixth inning with a single up the middle.
Best Bat
First baseman Blake Burk continues to shine, starting the game with two RBI in the first inning and smashing a two-run bomb in the sixth inning. He finished the game 3-5 with five RBI.

The Vols will look to finish the mid-week series against Charleston Southern with another win on Wednesday. First pitch is slated for 4 p.m. ET.
