Vol on the Street: Election Edition
Tennessee Journalist reporters asked the University of Tennessee’s students for their opinions about the 2018 election.
For the last several months, coverage of the upcoming election has been a common topic of discussion.
Lawn signs are scattered throughout neighborhoods and along roads. Campaign commercials have taken over the radio and TV stations.
The 2018 midterm election will take place on Nov. 6.
This election cycle, Tennessee voters will have the chance to cast their ballot for the U.S. Senate, U.S. House and state Governor. These and various local government seats will be determined all across Tennessee.
All Knox County Schools will be closed, and the polls will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Knoxville Area Transit (KAT) will be running for free to transport voters to the various polling locations. In addition to KAT, Uber and Lyft are offering free or discounted fares on election day.
