Who to add

  • Tyrod Taylor, QB, Buffalo – With Roethlisberger, Romo, Cutler and Brees currently out with injuries, Taylor is looking like a promising pick up. Buffalo has proven to have one of the most well-rounded offenses in the league blowing out two of their first three opponents. He has all the weapons necessary to be a reliable QB1 option for the remainder of the season.
  • Ryan Matthews, RB, Philadelphia – Matthews stepped up in dramatic fashion against the league’s hottest defense to replace 2014’s best fantasy player, DeMarco Murray, while he was out with a hamstring injury. Matthews rushed for over 100 yards and scored his second touchdown of the season against the Jets on Sunday. Look for Matthews to increase his role as a solid flex option.
  • Darren McFadden, RB, Dallas –With Tony Romo and Dez Bryant out for the next few weeks, the Cowboys are going to rely on the run game to produce offensively. Look for McFadden’s hard-nose running style to get third down and goal line touches.

Who to drop

  • Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Minnesota – Although Bridgewater and the Vikings were able to edge the Chargers on Sunday, their passing game has not looked promising since a brutal week one loss to San Francisco. With Adrian Peterson back in full effect, look for Minnesota’s run game to be the source of their offensive production.
  • Michael Crabtree, WR, Oakland – This promising first round draft pick is lacking a consistent amount of targets from David Carr to be considered a reliable receiver. Amari Cooper seems to be Carr’s go-to receiver at this point in the season. With Oakland getting off to a 2-1 start, you can expect them to follow what seems to be a successful trend.
  • Jimmy Clausen, QB, Chicago – Clausen threw for 67 yards on 37 attempts while getting shut out by a struggling 0-2 Seattle team. It is clear that Clausen is not going to be Chicago’s savior while Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffrey are out with injuries.

Who to sit

  • Golden Tate, WR, Detroit – Seattle’s defense is back to elite form after shutting out Chicago and having Kam Chancellor return to the field after his holdout. Look for Tate to have another mediocre week against the strongest secondary in the league.
  • Carlos Hyde, RB, San Francisco – Hyde got off to a hot start in week one putting up 29 points, but has cooled off the past two weeks. Don’t expect him to repeat his week one performance against Green Bay’s stout run defense.
  • Sam Bradford, QB, Philadelphia – Philadelphia is still searching to find their rhythm with a C-paced offense. Bradford is not living up to the high projections he had going into the season. Expect an average performance out of Bradford this week against Washington.

Who to start

  • Owen Daniels, TE, Denver – Peyton Manning linked up with Daniels for his first touchdown of the season against Detroit on Sunday night. Denver is a pass heavy team and Peyton likes to spread the ball around. Look for Daniels to become a possible redzone threat this week against Minnesota.
  • Sammy Watkins, WR, Buffalo – Watkins has been a player this year that many owners have been hesitant to start due to his lack of chemistry with Tyrod Taylor as well his hip injury. Now that Buffalo has found a groove in their offense, look for Watkins to become a consistent threat week in and week out.
  • Andy Dalton, QB, Cincinnati – Dalton had a stellar performance against Baltimore on Sunday linking up with A.J. Green on multiple occasions. Look for this trend to continue against Kansas City this week.
