On Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013, Josh Malone announced publicly that he is committed to playing for the Tennessee Vols.

This is exciting news for the Tennessee Vols because Josh Malone is the top rated player in the state. Malone is the number 49 overall prospect in the ESPN 300 and the number six wide receiver. The 6-foot-2, 191-pound wide receiver, from Gallatin, Tennessee, is a five-star Station Camp High School wide receiver.

After making official visits to Athens to visit Georgia, Sept. 5, Tennessee, October 5, Ohio State, Oct. 26, Florida State, Nov. 1, and Clemson, Nov. 22, Malone chose the Tennessee Vols to showcase his talents.

Not only did the Vols manage to recruit Tennessean Josh Malone but they recruited three other top football players in Tennessee: Todd Kelly Jr.(Knoxville, Tn/Webb School of Knoxville), Jalen Hurd (Hendersonville, Tn/ Beech Senior High), and Derek Barnett (Brentwood, Tn./Brentwood Academy). Kelly Jr., Hurd, and Barnett are all ESPN 300 prospects. Kelly Jr. is number 59 overall. Hurd is number 62 overall, and Barnett is number 296  overall. The Vols are looking to bring some tough competition next season with the recruitment of the Fantastic Four: Malone, Kelly Jr., Hurd, and Barnett.

The Vols currently hold the second ranked class in the RecruitingNation class rankings. The Vols have 33 commitments which include 11 ESPN 300 commitments and 17 four-star prospects. The Vols are on the hunt to build their dream team, and the future looks bright for the Butch Jones era.
