Zachary Knott is a Junior majoring in Journalism and Electronic Media at the University of Tennessee. This is his second stint in college, redemption for the first two years where he drank and slept his way through 18 credits in four semesters of unsuccessful studies. After dropping out of college and working three years on drilling rigs and then in the attics of south Alabama houses, he decided to join the United States Air Force.

Knott spent four years in the Air Force living outside of Little Rock, Arkansas and visiting Biloxi, Mississippi and the deserts of United Arab Emirates. Although he enjoyed his time in the military and is proud of his achievements, he wanted to be a writer. Unsure of whether he wanted to write for books, magazines or newspapers, he chose to leave the Air Force and return to college. He enrolled at the University of Tennessee in the spring of 2013 and is taking courses in journalism and English, among other subjects, to improve his writing skills.

In his spare time, Knott follows Atlanta Braves baseball and UT football, attending games when possible and rearranging his schedule at all cost to watch them. When not watching these sporting events at a stadium or in his Fort Sanders apartment, he enjoys seeing them at local bars. Even when there are no sporting events at all, it is likely you will find him in the local pubs at Market Square and in Old City. Although his hair and beard grow thick, do not be afraid to approach him. While having the tendency to be loud and wild, he does his best to be one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.
