From Friday, Oct. 25-Sunday, Oct. 27 the inaugural Mountain Oasis Electronic Music Summit will be held in Asheville, NC.

The three-day music festival will be held downtown and will feature contemporary electronic music and a creative use of old and new technology. The festival’s philosophy and vision is to celebrate the creative spirit of musical exploration and the innovative spark that fuels the arts.

The lineup includes Bassnecter, Neutral Milk Hotel, XXYXX on Friday, Nine Inch Nails and Animal Collective on Saturday and Pretty Lights, PANTyRAiD and Disclosure on Sunday. The full lineup has more than 50 musical acts.

On Saturday, Oct. 26 from 12:30-2 p.m. at the Diana Wortham Theatre, an Inventor’s Roundtable discussion with Paul Vo, the inventor of the Moog Guitar, Tony Rolando, founder of Make Noise and others will be held. From 4- 5 p.m., there will be an artist spotlight interview with Gary Numan conducted by Geary Yelton of Electronic Musician Magazine.

Other activities include the Craft Beer Experience, Trick or Treat, Sound and Vision Art show and more.
