Zachary Knott is a Junior majoring in Journalism and Electronic Media at the University of Tennessee. This is his second stint in college, redemption for the first two years where he drank and slept his way through 18 credits in four semesters of unsuccessful studies. After dropping out of college and working three years on drilling rigs and then in the attics of south Alabama houses, he decided to join the United States Air Force.
Knott spent four years in the Air Force living outside of Little Rock, Arkansas and visiting Biloxi, Mississippi and the deserts of United Arab Emirates. Although he enjoyed his time in the military and is proud of his achievements, he wanted to be a writer. Unsure of whether he wanted to write for books, magazines or newspapers, he chose to leave the Air Force and return to college. He enrolled at the University of Tennessee in the spring of 2013 and is taking courses in journalism and English, among other subjects, to improve his writing skills.
In his spare time, Knott follows Atlanta Braves baseball and UT football, attending games when possible and rearranging his schedule at all cost to watch them. When not watching these sporting events at a stadium or in his Fort Sanders apartment, he enjoys seeing them at local bars. Even when there are no sporting events at all, it is likely you will find him in the local pubs at Market Square and in Old City. Although his hair and beard grow thick, do not be afraid to approach him. While having the tendency to be loud and wild, he does his best to be one of the nicest guys you will ever meet.
Richard Thomas is in his 4th Year of University of Tennessee. He is pursuing a Journalism and Electronic Media degree so that he can one day be a reporter/analyst on ESPN. Richard Thomas is a computer Wiz as well, but a computer engineering was out of his league at the University of Tennessee. One day he hopes to be able to combine both of those two majors into one and be one of the people who Photoshops ESPNs pictures and works with how there website operates.
Some of Richard hobbies are playing video games. If he is not doing that or enjoying a movie, best believe he is working on something electronic while watching a football game. Richard always pulls for the UT Vols Football team no matter what because he has always bled orange because of his favorite NFL player Peyton Manning. He pays attention to basketball as well but enjoys football a lot more, it is America’s Game after all.
D’Montre Edwards is a student athlete at the University of Tennessee. He was born and raised in Charleston, S.C. He is the son of Gwen Simmons, who is the mother of 5 beautiful children. Edwards was born on April 20th 1992. He is now a 21 year old senior at the University of Tennessee. He is a Journalism major who one day plans on becoming a sports broadcaster on the highest level.
Growing up, he followed sports very often, particularly NBA basketball. He also would love to play basketball on the highest level before pursuing his sports broadcasting career. He grew up watching the Lakers at their best and he is now a die hard fan of the Miami Heat in which his favorite basketball player is Dwyane Wade. As he grows older and becoming more mature he now sees how serious having a college degree is.
