Michael Yokosuk loves tennis. He set goals for himself in high school and accomplished them by earning a full scholarship to play tennis at Lee University. He is now training to participate in some junior professional tournaments in the coming months.
As many use Youtube for music and gaming videos, Tony Smith, a recent graduate of the University of Tennessee and CEO of Inhouse GFX, used Youtube to enhance his design skills. Smith’s business provides several advertising services to various school organizations, events and all sorts of businesses. Their services include T-shirt printing, flyer creations and anything that consists of showcasing other businesses. Smith aims to continue moving his company forward.
Created out of his basement with the intent to stay close to his passion – the beach – Abe Kiggins founded the Billy Lush Brand. Kiggins, a California native, wanted to offer residents of East Tennessee a healthy alternative to typical fitness methods such as training at the gym.
Bonnie Hufford was recently awarded the St. George Award by the American Cancer Society for her community service work. In recent months she has also been awarded Volunteer of the Year by the ACS and honored by the Society of Professional Journalists’ Front Page Follies and President’s Award for public service. To her students she is both one of the kindest professors and one of the toughest. But there is so much more to her than her teaching and her work with the ACS.
Being a photographer is more than taking pictures. For Justin Ruffin, he enjoys capturing the moments of his models. Ruffin was drawn to photography by his grandfather, who was a professional photographer. While Ruffin is passionate about photography, he surprisingly doesn’t aspire to be a professional photographer.
Justin Lyons is a Milligan College athlete. He plays golf and practices at least four days a week. Nothing is slowing Lyons down including an injury. Lyons has a year and a half left as a golfer and is making the best of his time at Milligan College.
