Knoxville Area Transit released a draft for its new reimagined bus network based on public feedback, consultants, and direction from the Knoxville Transportation Authority. The new plan will have a significant impact on the communities that rely on bus services in Knoxville. According to Belinda Woodie-Brill, The Director of Planning and Public Information for KAT, “this new plan aims to get more people, more places faster. Under this new draft network, transit will be shifted towards higher frequency on major corridors, while decreasing the overall coverage area.
