The 2016 regular season college football slate is quickly coming to a close. With only a few weeks left, here are some players to watch as we head into Week 12 of the SEC season.

Austin Allen, Arkansas QB

Arkansas is coming off of one of its worst losses of the season, a 38-10 thrashing at home to No. 16 LSU. After a dismal performance by junior quarterback Austin Allen in which he threw two interceptions and had a completion percentage below 50 percent, look for him to come back better than ever this week against the struggling Mississippi State Bulldogs. Currently third in the SEC in passing yards (2,501), Allen will look to spread the ball around to receivers Drew Morgan, Keon Hatcher and tight end Jeremy Sprinkle if he wants to lead the Razorbacks to a win in Starkville.

Josh Malone, Tennessee WR

Tennessee’s big-play receiver is primed for another standout game this Saturday against the Missouri Tigers. The Vols have leaned on the 6-foot-3-inch junior to make big catches all season, and his role will only intensify as the season winds down. Malone has the eighth-most receiving yards in the conference along with eight touchdowns and an impressive18.5 yards per reception. Coming off strong performances in the Volunteers last two victories, Malone and the Tennessee offense should look to continue its high scoring ways going into this Saturday.

Evan Engram, Ole Miss TE

Evan Engram will finish off a storied career this week against Vanderbilt. Engram, who is the Rebels’ all-time leader in receptions and receiving yards by a tight end, leads the SEC with 824 receiving yards despite Ole Miss’s quarterback troubles. True freshman quarterback Shea Patterson will need to utilize his big play threat against the Commodores if the Rebels want to become bowl eligible yet again.
