Top SEC performers from week six

Most SEC games from week six went according to plan, the lone exception being Texas A&M’s thrilling double-overtime victory over Tennessee. Here are the players that made differences in week six.

Alvin Kamara, Tennessee RB

No. 8 Texas A&M took on No. 9 Tennessee at home with College GameDay present and the whole country watching. Despite coming up short in a double-overtime loss to the Aggies, the Vols showed overwhelming perseverance. After trailing by 21 points in the third quarter, Alvin Kamara displayed his urge to win. Kamara finished with an eye-opening 161 receiving yards and 127 rushing yards with three total touchdowns.

Minkah Fitzpatrick, Alabama DB

After another impressive victory, this time over No. 16 Arkansas, No. 1 Alabama continues to build on its flawless season. Defense was a huge factor yet again in the 49-30 victory in Fayetteville. Minkah Fitzpatrick had a career high three interceptions — including one he took back 100 yards for a touchdown — as well as five tackles. Fitzpatrick and the rest of the Crimson Tide defense will look for another strong showing next week as they take on Tennessee in Knoxville.

Nick Chubb, Georgia RB

Coming off a devastating last-second loss to No. 11 Tennessee, Nick Chubb and the rest of the Georgia offense had a lot to prove in the Bulldogs’ game against South Carolina. After only picking up one carry for a total of three yards last week, Chubb was questionable for yet another SEC matchup. However, Chubb carried the rock 16 times for 121 yards with two touchdowns to boost Georgia to a 28-14 over the Gamecocks in a weather-delayed matchup Sunday.
