Maroon 5 thanks fans for support during concert at Thompson-Boling Arena

Maroon 5 performed at Thompson-Boling Arena on Sept. 14 with guests Tove Lo and R City.

On Wednesday, Maroon 5 proved that their impressive 15-year career is thanks to their loyal fans.

Front man Adam Levine, melted the hearts of everyone in Thompson -Boling Arena as he expressed his thanks to the fans.

“We wouldn’t be able to do what we love every single day if it wasn’t for each and every one of you, so thank you”.

With five studio albums, two Grammy nominations, and a Grammy win, Maroon 5 has plenty to be thankful for.

This concert was a family event as mother-daughter pair, Millie and Kara Lovett, demonstrated.

“This is my first concert, so I’m just excited for everything,” said nine-year-old Millie, who has grown up listening to Maroon 5.

Her mom has been a fan from the very beginning: “I saw Maroon 5 12 years ago when the opened for John Mayer.”

R City and Tove Lo opened for the band. R-City flexed their immense songwriting record, playing some of the most popular songs they have written including: “Pour It Up,” “We Can’t Stop” and “Only”. The brother duo also brought their father, who was celebrating his 59 birthday, out on stage for their smash hit “Locked Away”. Tove Lo followed, playing several new songs, but also some of her most famous tracks including “Talking Body,” “Cool Girl” and “Habits (Stay High).”

Maroon 5’s show featured a long, catwalk stage which as the band stated, “allowed everyone at the show to receive a different perspective”. The show featured an acoustic portion where the band made their way to the end of the catwalk, allowing everyone an up-close and personal experience. The band appealed to longtime fans with classics like “She Will Be Loved,” “Harder to Breathe” and “Sunday Morning,” yet also appealed to new fans with “Sugar,” “Moves Like Jagger” and “Animals,”

As Behati Prinsloo, Adam Levine’s wife, will soon give birth to their first child, Maroon 5 will surely continue be a family event for years to come.
