Senior basketball Volunteers to defend home one last time
The UT men’s basketball team will be playing their final regular season and home game of the year against the Missouri Tigers Saturday, March 8 at 4 p.m.
The last time the Vols played Missouri they ended in a 75-70 loss. Tracy Webster, a Vols assistant coach believes that there is one key in securing a win this time around.
“We have to do a good job in transition. We can’t allow those guys to get lay ups or open shots in transition play.”
This is an important game for the Vols with them being on the bubble for tournament play once again. Bob Kesling, the voice of the Vols, also shares these thoughts
“Each one of these games is very critical. They need to win they can’t afford to stub their toe.”
Also, with this being the last game for the seniors, it is the time when people take a look back on their career and how they have helped and will be remembered.
Webster praises the seniors’ hard work throughout their careers and believes the fans will also have this feeling after they are done at Thompson Bowling.
“They will be remembered by their hard work. They will be remembered by doing hard work on and off the floor.”
Tickets to the game range from $15-$30 and will be electronically scanned at the door. For more info visit http://www.utsports.com/sports/m-baskbl/tenn-m-baskbl-body.html
