Creator of Haunted Knoxville Ghost Tour and ghost hunter J-Adam Smith announced Monday that he will soon be looking for movie extras to star in an upcoming documentary about the company.

Following the success of the company’s award-winning documentary, “Historic Haunting: A Paranormal Study of Ramsey House,” which was released on February 28, 2015 director Pat Watson agreed to shoot three more films around the Knoxville area.

Smith announced that while filming for the documentary has begun, he is still working with producers to decide an official date, time and location for auditions.

Paranormal investigator Brandon Kreitzer has also agreed to star in the film, which Smith believes will bring a lot of attention to the films.

Smith opened Haunted Knoxville Ghost Tour in 2010, and it has since received national attention. On top of starring in an award-winning documentary, Haunted Knoxville Ghost Tours ranks number three of 12 tours available in Knoxville with a 4.5 out of five star rating, and has been featured in Ghost Hunters Magazine, he said.

“I took the fear of ghost hunting completely out of (the tour), and instead bring fun and intrigue to it,” Smith said.

Unlike most ghost tours, participants are taken through unfamiliar areas of Market Square using thousands of dollars’ worth of ghost hunting equipment to directly contact and personally communicate with spirits.

There is also an estimated “80 to 85 percent chance of spirit interaction during each tour,” he said.

Haunted Knoxville Ghost Tours is located on 301, S. Gay Street. Private tours are available Monday through Saturday from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m., and a public tour is available Fridays at 8 p.m.
