Ijams Nature Center is conducting haunted lantern tours Oct. 24, 29 and 30. The cost is $7 for Ijams members and $10 for non-members.
Tour guides lead groups through different trails and quarries at the nature center. They tell haunted stories that are known to be true which have occurred right here in Knoxville.
“This is our third year hosting haunted lantern tours. Water and limestone are known to increase paranormal activity, so our quarries are the perfect place to be,” said Sabrina DeVault, an educator and naturalist at Ijams. “We walk around Ijams, tell stories and drink hot chocolate. It’s a lot of fun.”
The tours start at 7 p.m., and Ijams is looking for volunteers to help with the haunted lantern tours and other Halloween events.
Ijams is located on Island Home Avenue in South Knoxville.
