Kate is a senior in Journalism and Electronic Media, Visual Communications. She is originally from Atlanta, Georgia where she attended Pope High School.
Kate has been an intern at the Oak Ridge Observer and was the art director for Scoop magazine in fall of 2007. She also interns at Keep Knoxville Beautiful.
Kate plays water polo on the co-ed club team here at UT and is also an avid runner. She plans to compete in her first 1/2 marathon this spring as well as several triathlons.
As for future goals, Kate would like to persue a career in design/art direction or copywriting at an ad agency, magazine or print shop. She also would like to design typography.
