Rachel Murray

Rachel Murray is currently a sophmore at UT majoring in Journalism and Electronic Media, with a concentration on the magazine track, and plans to minor in English. She recently joined the staff of the Tennessee Journalist as an opinion writer, which is essentially the type of career she hopes to pursue. Her ideal job would be to become a columnist in a woman's magazine.

Murray grew up in Kingsport, Tenn. with her mom and two other siblings, as well as her now deceased father. She graduated from Sullivan South High School with a 3.9 GPA and was lucky enough to get into her school of choice, the good ole' University of Tennessee.

In her free time, Murray enjoys spending as much time with friends as possible, singing, playing the guitar, dedicatingly watching The Office, and has recently become a fan of exercise.
