Gipson is a junior studying Journalism and Electronic Media . He has been a sports writer for the Tennessee Journalist since March 2008. While with the site he has contributed various articles covering a wide range of sports.

He previously worked for the Weekly Hangover, a local counter-culture paper located in Knoxville. He was a columnist for the paper from August 2006 to January 2008. While working with the paper he wrote a weekly column as well as personal band interviews. His time with the paper gave him wonderful experience in interviewing.

Gipson was a military brat growing up, and has lived in five different states and attended countless schools. In high school he was a constant athlete, participating in cross country, tennis, basketball and track & field.

The passion for media writing did not emerge until he came to the University of Tennessee. He is now concentrating on working hard to complete his major in Communications and minor in History, as well as assist the Tennessee Journalist in writing, interviews and insight.
