Matt Rock is a transfer student from the University of Mary Washington, and will be in his second year at Tennessee in the fall.

Born in Concord, Massachusetts, Rock has grown up a fan of the Boston sports scene.  His family moved to the Shenandoah Valley in central Virginia after first grade, then moved to Culpeper, VA after his first year of college.  He resides there during the summer with his parents, Brian and Pam, and his two sisters, Melissa and Shana.

A graduate of Wilson Memorial High School in Fishersville, Virginia, Rock attended the Shenandoah Valley Governors School in its math and science curriculum, so naturally he became a writer.

He has previously worked at the News Virginian, Free Lance-Star and Culpeper Star-Exponent, primarily in their sports sections.

In his free time, Rock follows as many sports as he possibly can, hanging out and watching way too much television and movies.
