Lindsey Patton is a sophomore at the University of Tennessee, majoring in Photojournalism. Lindsey is currently a sports photographer for the Tennessee Journalist and is excited about what she will learn through her work experience.
Raised as the daughter of a high school coach, a deep love for sports was embedded within her from an early age. Her love for photography was the direct effect of a dedicated photography teacher Lindsey had in high school. However, her true passion for photography began to grow on her mission trip to Kenya in 2007. Lindsey was deeply moved by her experience in Kenya and found passion in reporting and photographing all she was touched by.
Upon returning home, Lindsey's love for photography as well as writing did not cease to grow. Wanting to use her passion to somehow reach other people, Lindsey decided to major in photojournalism at the University of Tennessee.
Outside of school, Lindsey is actively involved in Knoxville Younglife, and is currently a Younglife leader at Powell High school.
Lindsey leads a carefree and active lifestyle. She is a dedicated runner, loves to hike, and enjoys snowboarding in the winter.
