Lauren is a junior at the University of Tennessee majoring in Journalism and Electronic Media with a minor in Political Science.

Lauren's passion for writing began at the young age of 9 years old. Creative writing quickly became her passion, fueled by her fourth grade teacher who had taken a special interest in her desire for writing. This passion made the decision to major in journalism in college fairly easy.

In high school, Lauren was a member of the International Baccalaureate program, a competitive program with an emphasis in the field of writing. This program encouraged her desire to write.

During the summer of 2012, Lauren served as an intern for College Lifestyles, an online magazine geared toward teens and young adults.

At the University of Tennessee, Lauren enjoys participating in her sorority, Phi Mu. In her free time she enjoys shopping, decorating and numerous outdoor activities.
