Johnny is currently a junior at the University of Tennessee and is working on a Political Science degree. Instead of going to college right out of high school, he joined the Air Force, serving from 1992 to 1996. He then worked for Bell Atlantic as a digital network tester and then as a 1st level manager. He moved in 1998 to BellSouth, doing much the same thing. After a brief stay there, he jumped pond and started working for Lucent Technologies in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. After getting his fill of that, he came back to the States and worked for a now bankrupt dot something. He went on hiatus after that, working the off techie guru position until 2004.

In 2004, Johnny decided it was time to get back in school. He picked up his first 30 hours at Aquinas College in Nashville and then transferred to UT.

Johnny serves as the Operations Manager for the Tennessee Journalist and is one of the two people responsible for the site's initial development and design.
