Grant Ramey is a junior in Journalism and Electronic Media with a concentration on the Sports Track. He was born and raised in Kingsport, Tennessee.

Ramey's father introduced him to sports at an early age, which has consumed his life since. His father's Volunteer football season tickets, more precisely section Y8, row 52, seats 7 & 8, became his home away from home every fall from his birth until he enrolled at the University of Tennessee.

Ramey chose to follow his sports passion because it is what he loves most and works the hardest at. He is undecided between following the written or broadcast path in the Sports Track but has found a love for both.

He began writing for the Tennessee Journalist, TriCitiesSports.com, and on-air work for 90.3-FM 'The Rock' in the spring of 2008.

Ramey can be heard on 'The Rock's' sports-talk show 'Rock Solid Sports' on Tuesday's from 7-8 p.m. He also has a weekly EA Sports Fantasy Football column at www.fantasy.easports.com.

His favorite teams include any sports played by the Tennessee Volunteers along with the Chicago Bears of the National Football League.

Ramey covers Tennessee football and baseball for the Tennessee Journalist and would love to one day cover the day-to-day operations of the Chicago Bears whether it be in the Chicago Tribune, Chicago Sun-Times or on WBBM-AM 780.
