Eddie Jenkins, a graduate student and graduate assistant at the University of Tennessee, was born in Kingsport, Tenn.

He graduated from East Tennessee State University in Johnson City, Tenn. in May 2007 with a Bachelor of Arts in mass communications with a concentration in journalism and a minor English with a concentration in film studies. He is currently pursuing his Master of Science degree in communication and information with a concentration in journalism and electronic media.

Before he traversed to Knoxville, Tenn. Eddie worked as the Scene Editor (Lifestyles) for the East Tennessean.  He also wrote a weekly pop culture column "Honest and Unmerciful" and feature stories.

Eddie is interested in music, video games, technology, comic books, quadrahedral physics and how they relate to time travel, the Web, celluloid (film), television, stuff and things.  Summarized into two words pop culture.
