Dustyn Winder is currently a junior at the University of Tennessee, majoring in Journalism and Electronic Media, with a minor in Political Science.
Since February of 2008, Dustyn has written for the politics section of the Tennessee Journalist, primarily covering the election as it relates to UTK.
This summer, Dustyn spent five weeks volunteering in Naggalama, a small village in Southern Uganda. He will return in May 2009.
In addition to the politics section, Dustyn uses his experience volunteering, combined with past trips overseas to contribute to the abroad section of the Tennessee Journalist.
With an interest in foreign affairs, Dustyn hopes to live and work in East Africa upon his graduation.
His interests include backpacking, fishing, reading, the Boston Red Sox, politics, black comedy and film.
