Brittney Marie Moore, born July 16, 1989 in Oak Ridge, Tenn., is destined to do something big in her life, but she hasn't figured it out just yet.
Moore grew up in the small rural town of Wartburg, Tenn. with her parents and two older brothers, Brandon and Brad Moore, until she graduated valedictorian from Wartburg Central High School.
Now, Moore is a freshman at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville studying journalism and electronic media. Working for The Daily Beacon, the newspaper on campus, Tennessee Journalist and TRECS marketing and administration, the recreational program at UT, keeps Moore busy. She believes that all of the hard work will pay off one day.
Moore enjoys a wide variety of activities outside of journalism, such as painting with watercolors, photography and music as well as spending time with close friends and family nearby.
Her future plans are to graduate from UT with a degree in journalism and electronic media and earn an internship opportunity in New York City working as a layout editor for a magazine or website.
