Ben Moser is a senior in Journalism and Electronic Media with a concentration on Visual Communications.  He is also pursuing minors in Communication & Information, Business and Cinema Studies. 

Currently, Ben is the Editor-in-Chief for TNJN.com, and has been since Summer 2009.  Before this, he held the position of managing editor and was photography editor for a year. In Spring 2008, Ben joined Tennessee Journalist as a photographer and reporter.

Fall 2009 presented many opportunities to Ben, as he began work at both Scripps Networks as a Production Intern and UT Athletics Broadcasting as a video production and graphic design specialist. 

With UT Athletics Broadcasting, Ben is writing, shooting, and editing video packages for Tennessee's athletic department, as well as utsports.com and utladyvols.com. In addition, he is producing graphic design and video work to be displayed in UT's sports facilities, including Neyland Stadium and Thompson-Boling Arena.

For Scripps, Ben took on the project of building an online photo library for the entire company in addition to shadowing the network's producers in pre-production and on-location shoots. He also created graphic promotional materials to send to Scripps' clients and worked on all deliverables for an HGTV show.

 

In the summer of 2009, Ben worked with the NewsChannel5 Network (CBS affiliate-Nashville) as a Production Intern mainly involved with the cable station (NewsChannel5+). During his time with NC5, he was able to learn from and shadow producers and directors from the #1 CBS affiliate in the top 30 markets (May 2009 Sweeps).  Ben also had many opportunities to be the technical director and assistant director on more than ten shows on the cable channel.

Beginning in January 2009, Ben began working with The Volunteer Channel (UT's student TV channel).

Ben spent the 2008 season with the Tennessee Smokies as a video production and graphic design intern.

During 2007, Ben was a disc jockey for the campus radio station WUTK 90.3 FM "The Rock."

Ben was a member of the marching and pep bands at UT for three years, and has enjoyed playing music for more than a decade.

Other than photography and journalism, Ben enjoys spending time with friends, creating movies, playing tennis, performing on the local music scene, and learning more about the world.
