Madalyn (Maddie) Torres is a super senior studying journalism and electronic media with a minor in political science. She spent her freshman year at the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga before transferring to the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Christian Knox is junior studying journalism and electronic media at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. He is from Atlanta, Georgia, and has written for the Marietta Daily Journal. Christian’s personal experiences playing sports and coaching tennis sparked an interest in sports journalism and the analytics behind the games. Christian hopes to share the many inspirational and moving stories that make athletes who they are and shed a light on the person behind the sports star. Gracie-Lee Strange is a sophomore studying journalism and electronic media at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is a native of Chestnut Hill, a small community that lies in the foothills of English Mountain in Dandridge, Tennessee. She has a deep love for literature and nature that she hopes will follow her into her future career as a journalist. Donna Mitchell is a senior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is majoring in journalism and electronic media with a specialty in media management. Her academic interests include ethics and diversity. She aspires to be a news producer and eventually a news director. Donna enjoys singing, playing guitar, attending music festivals and watching late night comedy shows. The quickest way to her heart is through good conversation and a cup of hot tea. Ashley Depew is a senior at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville majoring in journalism and electronic media. Her beloved dog is a little, black fluff ball named Opie. Ryan Sylvia is a sophomore at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville majoring in journalism and electronic media. Although he spent most of his life being raised outside of Philadelphia, he was born in Knoxville, and he is happy to be back home. Ryan has had a love for sports from an early age, and he found his love for writing in high school while taking journalism classes.
