A group of students stumbled upon the body of a University of Tennessee janitorial worker in the Min Kao Electrical Engineering and Computer Science Building on Friday, according to UT Police Department officials.

UTPD's Sgt. Donnie Ross said officers were notified a body had been found around 7:40 p.m. Friday and attempted to give the man CPR when they arrived on the scene.

"Unfortunately, it appears he had been there for some time before he was found," Ross said in an email on Saturday.

Ross said it appeared the man had died of natural causes - potentially a heart attack.
