The University of Tennessee's Film Committee brought a cult classic to campus on Oct. 28, presenting Rocky Horror Picture Show with a shadow cast in the UC Ballroom for the sixth consecutive year.

The event started out with a lively pre-show. All the "virgins" -- those new to the Rocky Horror experience -- were marked pre-show with a red "V" on their foreheads.  This mark enabled them to take-part in some unusual feats, though the loyal returning members were surely soon to be included.

My favorite part is seeing what everyone comes as and talking to the audience, because they are the craziest people in the world.                Jessica Covington, Film Committee Chairperson

"It's a lot of fun. Pretty much anyone that comes enjoys it," says second-year cast member Melissa Williams.

Many people participated, gathering in a plethora of outfits ranging from their favorite characters to fishnets and corsets.

"My favorite part is seeing what everyone comes as and talking to the audience, because they are the craziest people in the world," says Jessica Covington, Committee Chairperson of the Film Committee.

The Rocky Horror Picture Show is known for its sexual subject matter, which was reflected in the shadow cast. The provocativeness of the cast, as well as the audience, was highly encouraged.

"The sexuality of it I wasn't prepared for, I was shocked, but it was lots of fun," says first-timer Hannah Davis.

The shadow cast and commentator added spark, and reference to the movie, leaving the audience with a new outlook and memories filled with lingerie.
