The Kappa Chi Chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc wants to show everyone how homeless people have to sleep every night with its Sleep-Out for the Homeless.

Jaesun Campbell, the president of Phi Beta Sigma, said that most people are not aware that Knoxville has one of the largest homeless populations in Tennessee, and the Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity wants the public to understand that it is not something that will go away on its own.

Donations of clothes, packaged food and money were accepted.  All donations will be taken to the Knox Area Rescue Ministries.

The fraternity brought food and drinks to all participants. A large stereo system was set up to play music and keep everyone entertained.

While a few attendees are planning on going back to their rooms, many brought sleeping bags and are planning to stay till 7:00 a.m.
