THIS WEEK
Join 90.3 The Rock and the Midnight Voyage as Planet of the Drums returns to Knoxville after a six year leave and performs at Southbound Bar and Grill in Old City on Thursday. Tickets for the night of percussion and electronic music will be on sale at www.brownpapertickets.com, or at the door for $15, ages 18 and up.
On Friday night, 90.3 the Rock and the Valarium will host a doubleheadlining performance by Perpetual Groove and Boom Box and a CD release for P-Groove's new album "Live Love Die". Doors will open at 8 p.m., and tickets are now available at www.thevalarium.com and at the door. Prices range from $15 advance, $17 at the door and $3 surchange if under 21.
S-P-H-L champions, Knoxville Ice Bears face off against the Columbus Cottonmouths Friday. The puck will drop at 7:30 p.m. at the Civic Coliseum in downtown Knoxville. Tickets are now on sale for the performance of "Oedipus King" running until February 21. Shows will be running until Feb. 21 at the Clarence Brown Theatre's Carousel Theatre UT's campus. A little heads up- this production contains adult content. Tickets are on sale now and are $12 for students on weeknights and $15 for students on the weekends and $22 for adults. Pat Summit's Lady Vols play the Florida Lady Gators on Sunday, February 14 at 2:00 p.m. at the Thompson-Boling Arena. UT students get in free with an I.D. but must reserve seating by visiting www.bigorangetix.utk.edu, while general admission tickets are on sale at www.uttix.com.
On Sunday, the Bijou Theatre welcomes Drive-by-Truckers and their "Big-To-Do Tour" and opening act Sons of Bill. Doors will open at 8 p.m. Tickets are on sale now and more information, visit www.knoxbijou.com
