School spirit is very apparent in runway trends for Spring '10. As are sky high heels, academic blazers, and the ever present white oxford.  From neutral tones to peek-a-boo cutouts, here is what will be worn for the upcoming season.  Runway looks can become real girl looks very easily: it's a Spring awakening.

Bring the little black body con dress back for another go around.  If one is not already owned, try DVF's Anita Jersey Knit.  For a mere $325, no one can go wrong.  For a more affordable version shop around at The Gap or Shopbop online.  For an "at the office" kind of look add a Michael Kor's menswear time piece, and being fashionably late will be a thing of the past.  An oversized academic blazer will top off the look.  If one's feeling brave, purchase one in a vibrant color! Check out Urban Outfitters or Topshop for the perfect fit.

April showers will bring ruffles everywhere this season.  The girly attribute is in, feminine blouses, dresses and even short shorts (think Carrie Bradshaw circa season four). The girly attribute is in, feminine blouses, dresses and even short-shorts (think Carrie Bradshaw circa season four).  Delicate is in, and if short shorts are too much, try a top!  J Crew has the Palmera and Jessica camis that can be tucked into business city pants or cutoff destroyed denim.  Dress the femi tops up or down!  Pale pink will have more attitude when lace and ruffles are added. OPI's 'You Don't Know Jaques' taupe will blend with the dainty colors fabulously. When completing the look, throw on a boyfriend cardigan and maybe even a skinny belt around the waist.

There's no fashion crime worse than blue jean on blue jean, but now a new popular material that resembles it has made way.  Chambray is wowing shoppers everywhere.  Justin Timberlake even sported a Dolce & Gabbana version at the SAG awards last week.  Not many have JT's salary, so check out J Crew (they are pretty much famous for it right now) and even wear it with jeans! Gasp! Ladies, pair it with a business casual look or get a bright hued one for slubbing on the weekends.  Essie's red lollipop nail polish will go great with beautifully crafted blues.

Shoes cannot be forgotten, and the platform trend is far from boring.  Wedges and cutouts are everywhere.  Jeffery Campbell and Aldo are making beautiful knockoffs a' la Brian Atwood and YSL.  Pick up Aldo's 'Destime' in black, and no one will ever know they were less than $100.  Look-at-me flats are all the rage since Tory Burch's Reva became a must have for every female age 14-35.  Flats will spice up a plain white-t and those short-shorts mentioned earlier.  Try high-waisted ones like Miss Vada Sultenfuss sported in My Girl.  If the Derek Lam example is too pricey, head on over to Forever21 and get their version.  A printed scarf from Anthropologie will finish the Mischa Barton sounding ensemble.

Even if Michael Kors and Jill Stuart are out of reach this season, get online or head to the mall to scope out these trends.
