The Cross, Greek Christian Ministries, Inc., meets every Wednesday night at 9 p.m. in the Panhellenic building on the UT campus for fellowship and worship. The first meeting of the semester will be Sept. 2.

Lindsay Lucas, a member of The Cross leadership team, is hoping more freshmen will come out and worship with The Cross this year.

With different speakers every week, The Cross is for everyone. Each week a minister from a local church delivers a lesson about God and living a holy life within the Greek community to about 250 students.

"With different speakers every week, The Cross is for everyone," Lucas said. She also said that everyone is welcome to attend The Cross, as it is a non-denominational program.

In addition to weekly worship services, The Cross provides students with the opportunity to participate in smaller Bible studies and prayer groups. There are currently three Bible study groups that meet regularly.

The Cross also participates in a mission trip during spring break. Last year, The Cross went to Bay St. Louis, Miss.

"It's a great way to meet fellow Greeks and some non-Greeks that are seeking the same things out of life as you are," Lucas said.
