Vols in the Pros: Manning leads Colts past Patriots

Quarterbacks 

Peyton Manning helped lead the Indianapolis Colts to a thrilling 35-34 come-from-behind victory over the Patriots Sunday night by going 28 of 44 for 327 yards and four touchdowns. An assist can be given to New England head coach Bill Belichick for going for it on fourth-and-2 from his own 28-yard line with just over two minutes to play.

Running Backs

Jamal Lewis rushed 10 times for just 36 yards for the Cleveland Browns. The Browns lost to the Baltimore Ravens 16-0 on Monday night.

Offensive Linemen

Scott Wells and Chad Cliton helped Ryan Grant rush for 79 yards for the Green Bay Packers. The Packers beat the Dallas Cowboys 17-7 giving them a much needed victory in their playoff push.

Anthony Herrera helped Adrian Peterson rush for 133 yards and two touchdowns for the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings beat the Detroit Lions 27-10.

Wide Receivers

Robert Meachem only had one catch on the day for the New Orleans Saints. The catch did go for 27 yards and a touchdown, and he also had a 41-yard carry. The Saints snuck past the St. Louis Rams 28-23.

Tight Ends

Jason Witten finished with 47 yards on five catches in the Dallas Cowboys' 17-7 loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Defensive Lineman

Aubrayo Franklin finished with three tackles and also had an interception for the San Francisco 49ers. Jay Cutler had a total of five interceptions for Chicago as the 49ers beat the Bears 10-6.

John Henderson had two tackles in the Jacksonville Jaguars' 24-22 victory over the New York Jets.

Albert Haynesworth also had two tackles in the Washington Redskins' 27-17 upset victory over the Denver Broncos.

Turk McBride contributed with four tackles for the Detroit Lions. The Lions lost to the Minnesota Vikings 27-10. The Vikings improved to 8-1 while the Lions fell to 1-8.

Shaun Ellis had four tackles for the New York Jets. The Jets lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-22 on a game-winning field goal.

Leonard Little had a tackle and a pass deflection in the St. Louis Rams' 28-23 loss to the New Orleans Saints. The Saints remain undefeated this season.

Linebackers

Parys Haralson recorded just one tackle for the San Francisco 49ers. The 49ers beat the Bears 10-6 on Thursday night.

Jerod Mayo was solid again for the New England Patriots. He finished with six tackles and a sack as the Patriots lost a close game to the Colts.

Kevin Burnett played very well for the San Diego Chargers. He had a total of nine tackles and also recorded a pass deflection in the Chargers' 31-23 win over the Philadelphia Eagles.

Marvin Mitchell recorded two tackles in the New Orleans Saints' 28-23 victory over the St. Louis Rams.

Defensive Backs

Gibril Wilson was active in the Miami Dolphins' 25-23 victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Wilson finished with seven tackles.

Deon Grant had five tackles for the Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks lost 31-20 to the Arizona Cardinals.

Kickers

Dustin Colquitt had six punts for an average of 47.2 yards with a long of 61 yards for the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs beat the Oakland Raiders 16-10.
