9:03: Final. Tennessee Volunteers 124, UNC-Asheville Bulldogs 49.

9:02: The student section cheers loudly as the Hendersonville High product Hubert hits a three.

9:00: Walk-ons Quinn Cannington and Michael Hubert enter for Tennessee. Cannington quickly picks up an assist on a Steven Pearl basket. Tennessee 121, Asheville 41.

8:58: Brian Williams blocks a shot into media row, his second block of the possession.

8:51: Renaldo "Swiperboy" Woolridge gives Tennessee an 80 point lead with a three-pointer.

8:44: The lead is at 73 (105-32). The school record for largest margin of victory is 79 against Mexico in 1966.

8:43: Tennessee breaks 100 with a three from Maze.

8:39: Maze picks up an assist as he tosses a pass off the backboard for the trailing Prince to jam home. Tennessee 98, UNC-Asheville 31.

8:35: Chris Stephenson makes Asheville's first three-pointer. The Bulldogs are 1-13 from three, while Tennessee is 13-21 from 3-point land.

8:31: The crowd erupts as walk-on Skylar "Sweet Tea" McBee makes a three. Tennessee leads 92-26.

8:22: After shooting an atrocious 7.7% in the first half the Bulldogs are 4-11 so far in the second half. With 15:30 remaining it's Tennessee 82, UNC-Asheville 23.

8:18: Asheville has no answer for Hopson, he's 6-for-6 from three. Hopson 25, Asheville 17.

Tennessee's 66 points are a school record for the first half of a game.

7:58: Halftime. UNC-Asheville has more turnovers (16) than points (14). Tennessee leads 66-14.

7:49: With 3:08 remaining, Turner sinks the first field goal for the Bulldogs. Whatever coach Eddie Biedenbach said during that timeout must have worked. UNC-Asheville missed their first 19 shots. Vols 57, Bulldogs 10.

7:48: Asheville takes a timeout, a wise decision, they trail 57-8.

7:44: Tatum dunks over 6'10" center D.J. Cunningham, then gets charged with a foul on defense. UNC-Asheville still has not made a field goal. The Bulldogs are 0-17 from the field and 8-11 from the free throw line.

7:33: Speaking of J.P. Prince, UNC-Asheville has a guard named J.P. Primm, and he just picked up a foul.

7:32: Hopson hits another three, he's 4-4 from behind the arc. As I'm typing, J.P. Prince finishes a fastbreak with a dunk. Vols 39, Bulldogs 6.

7:27: Maze just made a Dwayne Wade-esque layup, driving to the basket, weaving through two defenders and laying it in underhanded while falling to the ground. Tennessee 31, UNC-Asheville 5.

7:19: With 14:53 left in the first half, UNC-Asheville is finally on the board thanks to a Terrence Turner free throw. It's now 26-1 Tennessee with 14 minutes remaining. The Vols have forced eight turnovers.

7:11: Tennessee looked confused running the full-court press with Tyler Smith directing traffic, but the Vols composed themselves, forced a turnover and Wayne Chism knocked down a three.

7:09: The Vols are looking sharp so far, a couple of steals and three's from Bobby Maze and Scotty Hopson have Tennessee up 8-0.

7:04: No pyrotechnics during introductions tonight, I guess this game isn't important enough.

6:56: Just a few minutes before tip-off and Thompson-Boling Arena is less than half full.

Pre-game: After opening the season with a sloppy win over Austin Peay, the No. 10 Vols look to assert their dominance over UNC-Asheville. With a victory tonight, Bruce Pearl will have his 100th win with Tennessee.

The Bulldogs dropped their season opener to UNC-Charlotte, 86-70.
