After sundown the UT campus undergoes a startling transformation. The throngs of people disappear, and the usually warm Tennessee sun is replaced by the cold glow of electric light. Most people just think of streetlights in a general sort of way, but if you stop to look they vary in color and intensity.

The lights turn the UT campus into an eerie fun-house mirror reflection of the campus by day. Combined with the sparse but unique inhabitants of the night campus, the UT campus becomes something otherworldly that few students see.
